Barrel Seal
‘Standard oil’ (?) for use in gun barrel? If not, what else?
I bought these cleaning pellets, they seemed to do a fine job of cleaning out the barrel of my CP88 but I noticed that the manual says you can soak them in oil and then fire them through the system to lubricate the barrel — my question — would the standard oil that’s normally found in those blue cans do the trick? Or what about WD45?
One other question, there’s a seal right behind the barrel, should I lubricate this to give a better seal and if so what with?

A fine machine oil would the right oil. When you say standard oil I think of the quarts of motor oil at the Chevron Gas station. Some gun oil available at most sporting goods stores or sewing machine oil is also a good alternative. A light fine oil is what you’re looking for I don’t know about anything in a blue bottle or can. The manual that came with the gun should give you the lubrication points but those air pistols tend to like oil.
