painting my alpha black paintball gun?

I am planning on painting my alpha black tactical paintball gun digital camo. Before i paint it, should i remove all the internals and then paint it, or would it be okay if i just use painters tape to cover all the holes and cracks and then paint it?

Best is to disasembly your entire marker and only have the parts you want to paint. Make sure you have a full diagram of your marker and lable your parts so you know where everything goes. Sand down the powder coating or get your marker sand or bead blasted, anyway you do it you need to remove the current powder coating on the marker before you paint. Next you should tape off the internal side of the body halves and use a primer like a white or grey self eching primer so your paint has a good serfice to hold onto and doesn’t just peel off. Then do your design. I recommend either Duracoat, Krylon, or Duplacolor.

It is easy to do just time consuming. The more time and care you take into doing this the better your marker will look.

You can tape everything off and try and paint it with all the internals inside but it is not recommend because you don’t want paint in your internals and its just easier to just take your marker apart. Also when you take your marker apart after you paint it and before you put everything back in you should polish your internals. You have everything apart why not polish your internals and make your marker operate a lil smoother.
