just bought 52 in lcd would it be safe to sit it on a 5 ft cabinet about 20 in deep with no bracing?

Im a little worried to just place it on its stand but it will cost like 300 dollars to hire some one to hang it on the wall.Do you think it will be safe and stable to just sit it on the cabinet its like 20 inches deep from front to back .I have a horror of it just falling off since the cabinet is 5 feet or so high.Any advice?

well how wide is it? As long as the base it came with isn’t longer than the cabinet you’re fine. But you should get it wall mounted, it looks very sleek and it’s a professional service.
