Shotgun license query uk only?
I am applying for my shotgun certificate here in the UK I do hav permission to go n land and I am part of an organised shoot. The thing is when the police come out to do a check on you before you receive your certificate they like to see written permission. I do not have written permission as the farmer is far to lazy to write letter and im sick of asking. He has been like this with previous license holders. I am just wondering if it is ok to get the details of the farmer and the head of the shoot so the police are able just to ring and ask about me.
Any other tips for when the police come to do a check would be great ( I am not getting a cabinet yet as I am only 17)
The Legal age to have a permit for a fire arm in United Kingdom is 18 Years of age. So if the Police come out and find you to be only 17, they will take your fire arm, and dispose of it.
Just saying you were 18, giving the Police the details of the Farmer might not be enough to impress them, although it is worth a shot. (hehe… Shot… get it?)
