I have a bed bug questions.?
Just over a week ago, stayed at a motel for two nights. First night, noticed a couple of bites but figured it was fleas or dust mites as the matress and box spring had protective covers. The second night, I was covered ( right forearm, 13 bites) We left the motel and went straight to do laundry. From therre, we rented a second motel and ( after checking the matress and box spring again) we stripped and showered. Everytthing we took off went into a sealed plastic bag and into the trunk of my car. We have since laundered what we could, but one item was a leather jacket. We live in NH, have pretty chilling winters, I am wondering if the cold will kill anything we might have brought back, so far so good, but just need to know if my jacket is safe as well as a canvas bag I use for work???
In order to kill bed bugs you have to use very hot water to kill them and I mean really hot wash all your clothes and sheets in hot water . there are also spays you can get to kill them and a special bed sheets you can put over the bed to spot them from biting you they will get trapped in the bed sheets and will not be able to come out .
