can Ruger 10/22 bull barel fit in a factory carbine stock.?
Hello i want to buy a bull barel for my ruger 10/22 carbine model. can a bull barel fit in the factory stock. im asuming it will not fit but what kind of fairly cheap stock and fairly cheap but still good bull barel for it.
P.S i shoot left handed and can not use the thumb whole stock.
and i also have a distributor model it is the jacarda stainless stell model but i dont think it matters

The bull barrel is .920 inch diameter along the full length, the factory barrel tapers down to less than .600. You can use the original stock if you gouge, rout, chisel, and sand out the barrel channel to fit the new barrel, but you will have to scrap the barrel band, which you don’t really need. The action should really be glass bedded eventually, check the link and do some Googling. Dozens of aftermarket stocks are available, many left handed. Check the archives, this question has been answered before, at least once by me.
