Cartridge Stop
How can I stop these printing imperfections?
Every time I print a document of some kind, these little spots of black ink are scattered on the top and bottom of the paper. I don’t know how to stop this from happening. It’s really annoying. I recently changed an old ink cartridge and it is still leaving the marks. Please help!
It is a Canon MP160 printer.
You may have ink buildup on the bottom of the cartridge carriage assembly. Often times ink will collect on the carriage assy or components near the carriage shaft or paper path. You should open up the printer and check for ink residue & buildup around the paper path where the ink carriage goes across and on the bottom of the carriage itself and clean off what you can with some paper towels and alcohol. That should help.
