Who made a better case to fight Pacquiao, Marquez or Berto?
There are two questions
1. Who made a better case to land a mega fight against the Pound for Pound Champ?
2. What fight will be more exciting and competitive?
1. Marquez. He showed both weakness and a lively crowd behind him. This is one of those few times I agree with Larry Merchant in that Marquez offers the only big ppv number fight left for Manny if the Mayweather fight doesn’t happen.
2. If fight is made at 140 i say Marquez because of his technical ability and stamina to withstand Manny’s onslaught and get off his own shots. However, if the fight is made at 147 he doesn’t have a chance.
If fight is made at 147- Berto is the better choice because of his strength and athleticism, but I just don’t like some of his habits in the ring. He’s improved from where he was at, but its been against lower tier competition.
