Checkered Grips

Premier Trail Blazer?
My dad and I just bought a gun off of one of his friends. We saw that it was pretty old so are trying to get information on it. Its called the Premier Trailblazer, Montgomery Ward’s Model M29, and the Stevens Model 29A. It a pump .22 with a walnut stock and a tube feed. It has an octagonal barrel so we thought that it was pre-WWII but someone else said it wasn’t because it didn’t have a checkered grip. There is not a lot of information on the net about it so I’m guessing its pretty rare. Mainly we would like to know when it was made, and how much it could be worth. Thanks in advance!
long shot shows one with a round barrel, here’s one with octagon barrel:

These are both Stevens made for Ward’s. The model 29A was made from 1933-1945.
