My Mosin Nagant Cleaning Rod Is Stuck?

Hello yahoo. I just got a Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifle, but the cleaning rod is stuck in it’s compartment. We can’t get it to slide out. We’ve even taken off the bands. Does anyone know how to get this off? Thanks.

its screwed in. so unscrew then pull it out.

i have two Mosin Nagant 91/30 rifles.

if you don’t screw it in when firing it’ll shoot out the end of the gun just becasue of recoil. its embarrassing if you had to call for a cease fire at the range because you didn’t securely insert the cleaning rod.
