Kimber, Springfeild, Or a Colt?
I have shot both kimber and springfeild 1911 an many different models. I have never shot a colt. I heard very good and little bad about colt. I am looking into the Colt XSE rail gun. But what does the Colt XSE rail gun vs, Springfeild Operator, vs Kimber Warrior models, or the Kimber tactil entry, what would you do? Yes i want a 1911 with a rail. It is out of the norm. I already got a good Kimber Custom II, and a Springfeld XD, and Glock 21 and Springfeild GI. But i want a 1911 with a rail why i don’t know
The Colt is not nearly as well finished as either the Springfield or the Kimber. Colt’s generally have really sloppy fitting. I’ve had issues with the slide stop notch wearing away on Colt’s. Resale is great with a Colt… Colt gets by mostly on name.
I’ve had a Springfield that jammed constantly, until given much attention. I’ve known many people with Springfields that are flawless.
I haven’t owned a Kimber, but I’ve been able to fire quite a few.
For me: I’d flip a coin between the Springfield and Kimber. Colt would be a distant 3rd choice.
