I won’t say you are scamming anyone, but I’d not make a bid on that revolver without right of examination and refusal.

You do not state the caliber or model, and you post very fuzzy photos. If it is an Italian copy, I’d say value is under $200.00.

To me, it looks to be a Second or Third Model Dragoon, if it is a real Colt Dragoon of 1850′s vintage, it could bring anywhere from $5,000 to $100,000 depending on condition, even more if it can be traced to a well-known person or event.

You would do well to pull the auction and invest a hundred bucks or so to get a letter of authentication from Colt. It could add considerable value to the revolver.
