Detach Top

How do I detach a security tage which was accidentally left on a top I received for Christmas?

As I had already tried the top on in the shop, my sister didn’t keep the receipt so I’m worried if I take it back to the store, it’s going to look like I’ve stolen it! It is a quite flat black round security tag which is on the front and back of the top. The top is very delicate material and I’m concerned the top will be ruined if I try to force it off. Is it true that some tags have ink inside them and if so, is it likely that the round disc type that I have on my top will have ink inside it? I can’t really take it back to the shop anyway as it is from a different town to where I live. Thanks for any help, much appreciated.
