Gauge Shotgun

is it possible to convert a 16 gauge shotgun into a 20 gauge?

I have a 16 gauge Remington sportsman 58… is it possible to put a 20 gauge barrel for it on the shotgun and function properly??
like to load the shells in the mag tube, feeding etc

Why would you want to ruin a perfectly good 16 gauge shotgun??

Mitch- You never obviously shopped around for 16 ga ammo. I have a 16 ga. single shot. I get Winchester Super X and Remington bird shot for $7-9 a box. The same what 12 gauge costs. Then during the ammo spike I was paying $4-5 a box for Federal 16 ga slugs when people were paying $6-9 for 12 ga. I can still get Federal 16 ga slugs all day for $3.95 a box.
