Is a pistol grip stock a good idea for hunting?

I have a Remington 870 express I use for deer and turkey, and I’m looking at putting a pistol grip stock something like this http://www.mesatactical.com/images/6.jpg I was wondering if this would be a good idea for hunting or no? I think it would help improve aim considerably. Iv also heard they reduce recoil.
I forgot to mention for turkey I shoot regular turkey load but for deer I shoot slugs.
