what do you have do to own a handgun legaly in Canada?
What liscences and paperwork do you have to go through to legally purchase and own a handgun? How long does it take? Does it matter if its a domestic or imported handgun? What about storage of the gun do you have to have a specially aproved safe? And is it possible to carry a firearm on your person? Would you need an additional liscence to do so or is it not allowed period?
Im am counting down the days till i can purchase a makarov

You cannot get a license to carry a handgun on your person.
There is no such thing as citizen carry in Canada. Not allowed, period.
Even the police leave their guns at the station, they do not carry off duty.
There are specific duties as to keeping the weapon safe and out of others hands. Theses are taught during the class.
Since Canada has banned certain bullet proof vest (cop killer) penetrating handgun ammunition I’m guessing they have or will soon ban the current Makarov in vogue.
