Heat Shield
How much does it usually cost to fix a heat shield?
I don’t believe its been damaged in any way but I was wondering how much they usually cost, and how much it costs to get them tightened.
I’m asking because my heat shield on my ’99 Subaru Impreza is loose and rattling real bad and I was going to take it in and get it fixed.

I got it fixed (the rattling from the heat shield) for about $30 a few years ago. All they did was used some clamps to secure it more tightly. The rattling stopped completely. I was shocked at how cheap they charged me at the time, since I wasn’t sure what was causing the rattling sound. They told me this usually happens when the heat shield gets loose. They were very honest.
