Hogue Overmolded
Hogue Overmolded Stocks..Ruger Hawkeye?
I may change my order from a Vanguard Deluxe in 7Mag to a Ruger Hawkeye with the Hogue stock in either 270 or ’06. I am thinking as nice as the Vanguard would be to look at, with the Ruger I would not have to worry as much about scratches..rust etc. A rifle is a tool, right? I may get a “pretty” gun down the road, because I do appreciate a nice piece of walnut, but would probably not hunt with it much. BTW this will be used for deer and elk. I have a 6.5×55 Ruger Mark II as my primary deer rifle. Opinions on this decision are appreciated. Thanks.
Get the Ruger then. . ., if you want “pretty” later on, you can always pop for a nice custom wood stock to fit the rifle.
