Yugo mauser 8mm rifle and turkish ammo problem?
My uncle bought a Yugo Mauser a few days ago and we tried shooting Turkish 8mm threw it today, not one bullet out of five rounds fired. I’m thinking the ammo is the problem ( probably drill ammo or inert) since we could see where the firing pin hit. EASY 10 POINTS.
More likely a weak strike or broken firing pin.
It’s unlikely you’d get 5 out of five ‘dud’s out of even old surplus ammo.
Was the pin mark on those primers deep or shallow?
Did you dis-assemble the bolt, inspect the pin,
and get all that old cosmoline and other gunk out of the bolt body?
That stuff can cause a ‘weak strike’.
