Meprolight Tru
Which is the better sight for kimber custom 11 tru glo tritum or meprolight? Have trouble seeing regular sight
I put Meprolights on my Glock over five years ago, and they’re still going strong. They are the standard equipment for Kimbers which come from the factory with night sights, like my Kimber Ultra Eclipse–which also is going strong, five years after purchase.
I have TruGlo TFOs on a Springfield XD45–fiber optic sights which are lit by tritium at night. While the tritium part seems to be okay (about six months out), they’re dimmer because of the indirect transmission through the fiber optics. And I’m less than impressed with the visibility of the fiber optics in good lighting conditions.
TruGlo might have good sights as far as straight tritium goes, but I think I’d go with Meprolight, because they’ve proven themselves on my own guns.
