i own a mossberg 505 youth .410 shotgun and i was wondering if i can shoot a rifled slug out of a field barrel or do i need to get a rifled barrel and can a rifled barrel shoot shot?
the only choke not recommended for slugs is “full” other than that, it will be fine. Use rifled slugs to improve accuracy. You can get a rifled barrel if you need the extra accuracy, but rifled barrels do tend to disrupt a shot pattern, so there is a trade off.
