OK i need to know if anyone can tell me whats the name of a car part the goes around a crankshaft pulley?

i have a ’97 mustang 4.6L GT and the belt isnt gripping the pulley for the crankshaft pulley need to know whats the name of the part that goes around it tried looking it up online and all its telling me is to buy a new crankshaft pulley but dont need one just the part that goes around it that keeps the belt in place.
so does my tension for my belt needs to be replaced?

On the end of the crankshaft is the harmonic balancer. Bolted to that is the crankshaft pulley. There is nothing that beyond those two components on the end of the crankshaft.

If the pulley isn’t moving then it’s possible (though HIGHLY unlikely) that you lost your woodruff key that locks the harmonic balancer to the crankshaft.

I have a 94 Mustang. I also replaced the whole assembly on my friends ’95. It’s an easy job but you might need a wheel puller.
