i have a mitisubishi colt and ive just snapped the key in the ignition i need help?
hi. thanks for looking. i have Mitsubishi colt 1.3 1996 and ive just snapped the key in the ignition. i cant lock the doors because of this. the car has an immobiliser so it needs the key. how do i get the key out of the barrel? will i be able to make a copy of the silver key part and attach it to the black part? please please help. thanks 
Yes, He’s right. You now have to change the cylinder assembly attached to the steering column. Could be a big job if you don’t have 1) Knowledge
2) correct tools.So, a lock smith may be in order here. You could try and get the part thats inside the lock out but remember 1 thing; the tumblers are soft,soft Brass and are unforgiving. So, don’t attempt an “EZ Out”(Product name) It will most likely damage the Brass incerts known as Tumblers.Sorry, Good luck
