Pelican Case

is the pelican i1010 ipod case really as good as they make it sound?

hubby is deployed and we just bought him an ipod, i dont want it to be ruined so i was thinking of getting him an ipod case from pelican. have you heard if these things are actually a good thing to have to protect your ipod or are they just a pain?
