Hearing protection for 8 month old baby?
Tomorrow is the annual Air Show at the Air Force Base my dad works at. We’ve been going there the past 3 years and we plan on going there again tomorrow.
My concern is that since I’m bringing my 8 month old daughter, I’m concerned about any negative impact it may have on her hearing. There will be many fighter jets flying demonstrations (including the Air Force Thunderbirds) and it gets extremely loud. We bought her the Peltor Junior Ear Muffs. They fit her well and all, I’m just wondering if that will be enough.
Should I buy some ear plugs for babies too and put them on under the ear muffs or should I just use the ear muffs alone?
I don’t want her hearing to be impacted by the air show so I want to make sure I take enough precautions.

I’d try some sort of ear plug. I’ve never used baby ear plugs. There’s a wax kind that I use that I love and is easy to use that you mold over the ear canal opening.
