Suggestions for purchasing a .22LR pistol ?

I want to buy a .22LR pistol. Any suggestion on a model which would be very effective as a defensive weapon, compact- could be concealed easily, accurate and user friendly…Please mention about any other characteristics on which i should address
Thanks for your kind and prompt replies. Infact I intended to buy a Walther .32 ACP which would be used for self defense. But i am facing extreme difficulties to import my desired firearms to Bangladesh. As a result i had to divert my attention to .22LR. Now I seek for your kind assistance either to import a Walther .32 ACP to Bangladesh or your guidance about a .22LR. Point to mention that i am in possession of a valid firearms license and an import license issurd by Bangladesh Govt.

I totally agree…a .22 is not a defensive round. If you are looking for a low recoil, easy to use, defensive caliber, you will want a 9mm. Springfield Armory XD is a very easy to use and comfortable handgun. Which would be great for home and carry defense.

A good .22 caliber semi-auto would be the Sig Sauer Mosquito. This handgun is great for a whole day of shooting and spending only 20 bucks on a couple of hundred rounds.
