How do I make polymer 1911 grips from liquid plastic, like the ones found on ebay?

You need regular clay and get your hands on Fimo ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fimo ).

Use your existing wood handles as a mold and go from there. You will have to toast the clay, and from there start pouring in Fimo. You may have to drill out a spot for the screws. Not too difficult.

Its well worth just buying the product unless you want to make allot of these.
