How should I get my ears pierced?

I am getting my ears pierced for a second time and am wondering if I should get them way up top or just a second time in the main area where people usually get their first ear piercings? What are the pros and cons of both and how do I decide? Remeber I can only get one or the other! Thanks!!!(:

Lobe piercings are less painful, safer, and heal much faster and with less complications. They are also less expensive in most places. If you like the upper ear piercings (helix/cartilage) more, I would recommend either only getting one done or letting one heal before getting the other, because it will be easier and more comfortable to sleep if you don’t have two healing at the same time. And always get them done with a needle, not a gun.

Both are worth it if you take care of them
