question about semi auto recoil spring?
just got my walther p22, and i’m using a cable lock (untill i can get a trigger lock)
so my question is, will leaving the slide locked back weaken the recoil spring at all?
yes, i dont like how they work either.. and i really dont like walther’s keyed trigger lock.. i dont trust it.. this little guy will be in a locked safe too
why it’s in the safe with the cable lock is because my dad said so..
basically, if he isnt happy with how i store/handle my firearms, i dont get ammo
yeah, i do live with my dad.. but it’s not what you think..
i’m only 14, and he trusts me to keep it in my room, so, if he wants it locked up like a serial murderer, than that’s how i’ll keep it
If it is in a safe, why use a cable lock at all?
But no, it won’t hurt the spring. Modern metallurgy has pretty much cured the worries about a spring taking a “set” or losing power.
