Rifle Scope

What is the best kind of rifle scope for 22 cal. LR? Can I find a good scope for 150 $?

Most rifles don`t come with scope, and I`m not sure what is the criteria for choosing the best for my rifle. Will every kind of scope fit on the rifle? What is the best tech. specifications for a scope used in 547 Remington bolt-action for example?

I am a firm believer of high powered scopes on a good .22
I have a first year Remington Model 541-s and I chose Redfield widefield in 4 x first. Years later I discovered a 6X widefield with a 1 inch dot. I have found this to be better than 4X . My dot subtends 1/2 inch at 50 yards and 1/4 inch at 25. If you are considering the 547 I would look at a Leupold 6X 42 mm objective. It is a beauty of a scope and would do justice to the fine 547. It is possible to have paralax problems since most high powered scopes are set for 100 yards. I know it exists but have never had a problem with mine.
