How to I pull out a snapped screw?
Okay today I was putting on a scope to my sniper rifle and I started twisting one of the screws so the scope was firmly in place, I kept twisting and i felt no tension at all and suddenly i hear a SNAP And I’m wondering, “what happened”? So i untwist the screw and it just comes right off now about half of the screw itself is still buried inside the scope.
I have a spare screw to put in it but i want to know how to take it out without difficulty and cheap if so.
So how do i remove it?
difficult. The procedure is to drill a small hole down the center of the screw, then run in a special reverse thread self-tapping screw that will back the original out.
But you have a good chance of ruining the rifle. I’d take it to an expert who has done dozens of these before.
