Is the Ruger LCP .380 a good gun for self defense?

I was watching a gun show there other day and they reported that with the improved ammo we have today that the Ruger LCP .380 is a good gun for self defense. What do you say?

I think the LCP is too small a pistol. I believe you will fumble it in a fright.
I believe 380 is fine for personal defense. I carried a Beretta Cheetah for about 10 years.
