Classes In Team Fortress 2- Part Two

Team Fortress 2′s most important class, is arguably the support class. These are found working all over the map to keep your front running scouts running. Support also keep the heavy stocked and ready.

The medic is an important part of Team Fortress 2 not seen on CSS servers. The medic’s primary weapon is the syringe launcher. Just as powerful, the Medi Gun is his secondary. As his melee weapon, he has the bone saw.

The medic is the main healer on TF2 servers Thus you should find that all good medics will be at the front supporting the Scouts and the Soldier. Staying out of the firing line is just as important as healing, as they aren’t must use dead themselves! Because his weapons are mediocre, the medic should only focus on healing. By shooting an ally with the medigun, the medic will receive a bonus of 150% on his own health. However if the medic stops healing then the players bonus health will slowly degenerate back to normal. This bonus is known as over healing and the charge bar will fill and once this is full the medic can make himself and an ally invulnerable for up to 10 seconds. Think how effective this is for a Heavy when he can attack an enemy base for a prolonged period. If you like looking after your friends on Team Fortress 2 servers, then the medic is the best choice for you.

It will come as no surprise that the Sniper’s main weapon is the sniper rifle. For his secondary weapon, he carries a sub machine. A machete is used as his melee weapon. The Sniper is that guy that always takes you out from long range and that you can rarely see to get a fix on. If you like hanging back and picking off targets from distance, you’ll enjoy the Sniper class. The sniper works best if you are able to find the best spot. Once you have found you little hidey-hole the sniper can pick off targets like the heavy with ease. The Sniper is also effective for taking out the Medic that is supporting the heavy. Taking down the Medic will then allow the rest of your team to progress on the ground much quicker. Your shot will become more powerful the longer you stay scoped on your target. An expanding laser scope indicates this. On the downside, it is much harder to take out enemies at short range with the Sniper. Also, even though you also have an SMG don’t expect much from that either unless its close range, but something is better than nothing in an all else fails situation. If you’re the type that likes taking an enemy scalp from 400 paces then the sniper is waiting.

Using a cloak to blend and disguise himself, the spy is a little like James Bond on Team Fortress 2 servers. He can take out his enemies in one movement with the butterly knife. The butterfly knife allows him to take out enemies in one quick swoop. But be warned it’s not instant and if they move out of range then you might have just been rumbled. Your discuise will be revealed if you use anything other than the sapper. The electro sapper will slowly drain the health of engineer’s buildings before destroying them. Thus it is best to place the sapper and then take out the engineer as the sapper can be removed with just two whacks of the engineers wrench. Remember, when you can see a spy’s discuise, he’s frendly. If you fancy yourself as James Bond, the spy is worth a look.
