Shooting Earmuffs

Shooting Earmuffs
The weapons of our troops?

i belong to a gun club and i shoot shotguns and rifles and i know that they are very loud but i wear large earmuffs to protect my ears. The weapons in the army are much more powerful than a .22 rifle or a .20 shotgun, do people in the army go deaf from just firing their weapon or do they have ear protection in their helmets?

It is advised that soldiers, Marines, airmen, and sailors wear ear protection. There has been a lot of combat related hearing loss since the war (WAR AS IN “ONE WAR”) in the Middle East has begun.

You can not just pull out those little orange plugs in the middle of a Kilo-Zulu if you know what I’m saying.

Another problem with hearing protection is the lack of awareness to your surroundings… the last thing you will be thinking about when you are being shot at is how noisy that M-240G sounds when its rocking right next to your face.
