Double barrel shotgun on atv?
I have a stoeger coach gun supreme in 12 gauge for grouse hunting and I am going deer hunting but I’m bringing my shotgun for if I see any grouse. I hunt on a atv so .30-06 by action will be in a gun boot. My double barrel coach gun (20 inch barrels- 36.5 inches overall) won’t fit in a gun boot because of the two barrels. So how do you think I could back it on the atv. I have a front rack bag so I was thinking about a voodoo tactical shotgun scabbard with molle. I could attach the molle to the top of my case. Would this work and would the rattling hurt the gun. Any other ideas are welcome
Well I had a similar problem so I bought a pair of these;

And I mounted them on my handle bars and my front rack. Then I place the SxS in it on its side because that’s the only way the barrels will fit in. But they hold my SxS very secure so it doesn’t rattle around and its fast to deploy. I mounted one on my front rack and then one on my handle bars so the gun is pointing down towards the front on its side stock up.
Works for me! But it wouldn’t work for one with long barrels as they would be hitting things on the trail.
I think some one needs to market gun scabbards for doubles for ATVs.
