Size Thin

Womens fashion comes in all shapes and sizes. What sizes are plus size and what sizes mean too thin?

In the modeling world, models who wear sizes 8 through 18 are booked for plus size clients. All of you size 8s and 10s out there who are hyperventilating about that really need to get over it – it’s not a big deal.

In the mall, sizes 12W through 32W is plus size. Juniors plus size run from 1X to 3X OR in the upper odd numbers – 15, 17, 18, 21, etc. FYI – Misses sizes run from 0 through 14, 16, 18 or 20, depending upon the retailer, so there is some overlap with the upper misses range and the lower women’s range. When you’re shopping in a women’s department (aka plus size dept.) you’ll see a “W” after the number size.
