How to make work boots more slip resistant?
I work in a food production plant (had a Snickers lately? Yeah I mixed the ingredients) and most of the day my shoes grip the floor just fine. But late into my shift sanitation crews begin to clean equipment and the concrete floor gets wet. As soon as my new “slip resistant” boots get wet on the bottom I might as well be walking on smooth ice. My old work boots didnt slip nearly as much but they are to worn out for use. Is there any way to prevent this slipping?
The problem is in the actual material of the bottom of the boot.
You could ask ‘management’ to paint the floor with slip resistant paint.
You could sprinkle sand on the floor when they start to do the cleaning.
You could, alas, purchase boots that have a different composition in the sole and heel.
