Soft Case
Traveling with my guitar- hard or soft case?
I’m going to fly from Charlotte to Mexico City and then take the bus from Mexico City to Querétaro.
I’m worried about my guitar getting damaged, and a hard case is probably a better option since it provides more protection. A soft case is easier to travel with, though.
I could always get a soft case once I’m there…
You’ve really answered your own question as it would definitely be far more sensible to transport your guitar using a hard case. You would be pretty upset, I imagine, if it was damaged as a result of you chancing it with a soft case.
If you are planning to return it would seem best to continue travelling with the hard case, as if you acquire a soft case, you will need to get another hard one (unnecessary expense) for the flight home.
