Spring Plunger

97 S-10, clutch is stiff. Have changed everything except hose/line between master and slave..?

I have put new clutch kit, master and slave in. still stiff..could it be the hose/line.. It has a in line spring loaded plunger at the connection to slave cylinder-kinda reminds me of a pcv valve. I have cleaned out the line-it flows good when i depress the plunger. It may be plunger does not push in when line is clipped into slave coupling. could I drill out this plunger or at least drill a hole in it to let the fluid flow or will I F-it up by putting a hole in it..Cant just buy the line from chevy-have to get master also-135.00-no thanks. can anybody help- thanks

Almost sounds like something isn’t together quite right. Mat have to double check your work.
