Will a flat panel TV wall mount that extends further out from the wall allow me a greater range of swivel?

I have a 46″ samsung and purchased a mount that was advertised as swiveling 180 degrees. However they failed to mention that meant 180 degrees without the TV mounted. I should have seen it coming, because out-of-the-box it didn’t look like I could get the full range of motion that I need before I mounted it, but I decided to take a chance and installed it anyway. I basically want the TV to look as close to a 45 degree angle out of a corner as possible using one of the walls to install the mount. I would also like to possibly adjust to even more (less) of an angle to the wall that it will be mounted to when we have a guest sitting in the chair with the worst viewing angle. My question is whether or not READY+SET+MOUNT model CC-P18LB will make enough of a difference in the amount of swivel range to warrant returning the CC-P18MB. Keep in mind the set is a 46″ Samsung.

Considering that it extends from the wall over 10″ more than MB it should certainly help. It extends from the wall over half the width of the TV so you should get an almost 90 degree swivel to the wall.
