What would you put on a Tapco modified sks?
I have a Chinese SKS with a unusual stock on it. I’m planning on ordering the Tapco SKS Intrafuse rifle system just for a fun little project. I’ve always liked the bayonett on my sks (it’s the blade version). I’m wondering, before i buy the new furniture, what other people have done. Should I get the one for the bayonet and leave the bayonet on or should i get the one with the accessories rail and ditch the bayonet? I’ll be using the rifle just for target practice and plinking, not hunting. Any cool ideas for my cheap little project rifle???
P.S. does anyone know the history of the stock i have on it now? Its some sorta lightweight composite material (not wood) its a reddish brown smooth shiny stock. THANK YOU 
Well first of all, it sounds like your stock is made out of Bakelite. It’s a reddish brown plastic material that you usually see in older AK pistol grips, AK bayonet handles, CZ-52 grips, and other Communist Block weapons of the cold war. You may not want to mess with your SKS, it might be a rare model. All of the Chinese SKS’s I’ve ever seen have spike type bayonets and wood stocks.
