How do you make a traditional slingshot?
i have look all over the internet an all i can find is how to make one with wood. i want just a leather slingshot like david had in david and goliath they are easier to use but i dont now how big they should be.
I saw several of these in Haifa Israel years ago. The maker took a piece of leather 8 inches wide and 5 feet long. He formed the cradle or pouch part by trimming it into an oval with two feet to one side and three to the other. The pouch was about 6 inches long and he trimmed the “arms” into a taper and split them into several strips then weaved them to form the arms. On the three foot side he tied a wrist loop that would slip over your hand and rest on your wrist. A small fob was pot on the 2 foot side and you closed the pouch over a small stone, help te fob and spun the sling. When the pouch was approaching the target you release the fob and it slings the rock.
