Walnut Stock

Reshaping Ruger 10/22 stock and adding .920 barrel?

Has anyone done this? What’s the best tool to bore out the stock? Is there enough wood to still look ok? Also I plan on cutting the stock off from were the barrel band went forward. Is this a good idea? I like the look and shape of the regular walnut stock…so sue me, lol. The fancy fajen etc are nice, but damn…$150+

midway usa sells a barrel chanel rasp that is easy to use all you do is order it a little bigger than the barrel check the progress regularly and once complete sand smooth and rub with tru oil all done as for cutting the forearm i wouldn’t
