Wood Grips
can i put on wood stain over spray on grip tape?
I have a bamboo 40 inch long board with clear spray on grip tape and it gets noticeably dirty all of the time. I wanted to put a stain or lacquer on it to darken the board but i was wondering if i could put it over the clear grip tape and if it would wreck it or not.
i personally have never tried it but it does not sound like a good idea. i would remove the grip tape with a paint/laquer remover, sand it, and put on your stain. after, buy clear grip tape and put that on.
